Water research institute established in UAE

Jun. 1, 2021

The United Arab Emirates signed an agreement with Israel that will lead to the development of a water research institute as part of a strategic commercial collaboration. The project is part of a partnership between Watergen, the UAE-based company Baynunah, which specializes in food security, and the Moshe Mirilashvili Institute for Applied Water Studies at Tel Aviv University.

The agreement is intended for research and scientific cooperation to improve quantities and sources of drinking water, according to Prof. Dror Avisar, the head of Tel Aviv University’s water research center.
